Following our previous newsletter and public announcement to industry in July 2020, about our intention to launch the online registration database; four online training sessions were successfully delivered between 3 to 11 August 2020. For anyone who missed the training the guide can be accessed here
We are pleased to announce that the new online application system will be officially launched on 1 February 2021 and will run in parallel with the existing CRM system. During the parallel run period, applicants for the energy efficiency component of the Letter of Authority (LoA) are encouraged to submit their applications using both systems, i.e. the existing CRM system and the online registration database which can be accessed through the URL www.applianceregistrationdatabase.org.za or click here. The NRCS understands the extra effort required to submit two identical applications, thus we are committed to ensure that the transition will not be disruptive.
Applicants are therefore urged to familiarise themselves with the new system as soon as possible. If all goes well, the regulator plans to completely move all the energy efficiency LoA applications to the new system by the beginning of the new financial year, 1 April 2021.
We thank you for your participation and ongoing support for our efforts to modernise the application process in order improve our service levels.
